Mike Jubb has the distinction of being only the fifth head professional in the Club’s 125-year history, and has been Sheringham Golf Club’s head professional since October 1996. A Class AA (T), PGA Professional, he turned professional at the age 22 and qualified in April 1986.
A former county coach, he has assisted with England Regional squad training and is available to help players of all standards – both Members and visitors. With our indoor facilities, Skytrak technology, Par 3 practice holes, driving range, short game areas, practice bunkers and greens, he can work across your whole game with ease.
Mike is past captain of the PGA Norfolk, and has been chairman for the past 9 years. As a player he has won the Norfolk Open, Norfolk Alliance Championship (seven times) and numerous professional Pro-Ams at regional and county level. He has held various course records and has lowest professional scores of: in the UK, Royal Cromer – a six-under par 66; and in Europe – a seven-under par 65 at Quinta Do Lago in Portugal.
Charlie Bright’s professional career started 3 years ago when he began his PGA training. He has now finished his training in professional golf studies and passed with ease.
Charlie has always worked very hard at his own golf game and still aspires to play golf professionally at the highest level he can. Before turning professional, Charlie played for his County and competed in many National Golf events. He stills likes to play in Norfolk PGA and East Region events when he can.
Whilst studying the PGA's Foundation degree, Charlie has become passionate about coaching and working with golfers to improve their game. He has been an integral part in the redevelopment of the Junior Golf Academy at Sheringham Golf Club and strives to increase junior participation at the club and build the next generation of golfers.
Now fully qualified this is the start of Charlie's golf career, through continual professional development he plans to expand his skills and knowledge and learn from the best in the game.
