How to join Sheringham Golf Club?
Consistently ranked in the top 100 courses in England (70th in National Club Golfer November 2025) and the top 200 in the British Isles, the course offers a fair test of golf with outstanding views over the coastline and sea.
The Club presents a friendly and welcoming environment to new members and provides the opportunity to belong to a traditional Club operating in a modern environment.

There are a limited number of memberships available at the current time and the benefits of joining the Club are:-

- To be part of a well-managed traditional golf Club, steeped in history but with a modern outlook.
- To play a championship golf course which is consistently ranked in the top 100 in England and the top 200 in the British isles.
- The opportunity to take part in an extensive list of Club competitions and matches against other clubs.
- Good practice facilities including two putting greens, two chipping greens, a 4 hole pitch & putt course, a practice ground, practice nets and an indoor practice room for those cold winter days.
- A fully stocked golf shop with club fitting opportunities, club repair service and a price match promise.
- The opportunity to book the Clubhouse for private functions with no room hire charge.
- A Credit facility for the payment of subscriptions.
- The opportunity to bring a guest at a substantially reduced rate.
- Reciprocal Golf Benefits for Members with four well-known clubs; Sherwood Forest, Coxmoor, Worksop and John O’Gaunt. The arrangement allows our Members a reduced green fee .
- Personal Liability insurance through England Golf.
The subscription year runs from 1st January to 31st December and the Full Playing Subscription for 2026 is £1475
A joining fee equivalent to the Annual Subscription is applicable to Full Members.
In addition, England Golf - £12 / Norfolk County Golf Union - £11.00 / Norfolk Ladies County Golf Union - £11.00 - Affiliation Fees are payable.

- Under 40's Membership is available at £885 with no joining fee. A partial joining fee may be payable on moving to Full Membership
- Under 25's Membership is available at £575 with no joining fee
- Student Membership is available at £335 with no joining fee
The Club presents a friendly and welcoming environment to Junior Golfers and provides a wide range of activities as detailed below;
Subscription Rates (inclusive of County Union and England Golf affiliation fees);
Playing Membership with access to the 18 hole course and all other facilities (with WHS handicap) £125
Non-Playing Membership with no access to the 18 hole course but full access all other facilities (working towards WHS handicap) £65

- Subsidized Group Coaching with a qualified Professionals.

- Access to 6 hole Academy Course, 2 Putting Greens, 2 Chipping Greens and Indoor Practice room.
- Access to the main course when authorised by the Junior Development Officer.
- Entry in to Adult Competitions subject to meeting handicap criteria.
- Free entry to Junior open - including lunch and prizes.
- Opportunities to represent the Club in Inter-Club matches with subsidized Golf clothing for Junior Team players.
For individuals who are current Full Members of another golf club;
Second Club Membership is available at £1115 per annum plus Norfolk County Golf Union Affiliation Fees (if Home Club is outside of Norfolk).
Second Club Membership is subject to a joining fee equivalent to the Annual Subscription.
