Sections of the club
Men's Seniors
The Men's Seniors Section is a vibrant part of Sheringham Golf Club, with a year-round programme of weekly competitions, summer matches against other clubs and social events.
Male members over the age of 55 are eligible to join the Section for no extra cost, although the various events attract a modest entry fee or charge.
Not only is the Men's Seniors Section great value, but it provides the opportunity to meet many other members both on and off the course. There is an organised competition nearly every Wednesday throughout the year.

Ladies
Ladies’ competitions are on Tuesdays and Saturdays when we have our regular medal and stableford competitions sprinkled with friendly games, club competitions for the various trophies, open and invitation days. There are always lots of opportunities to play golf and socialise.
Juniors
Our Junior Section is very important to us as a club. Of course Juniors represent the future of the game and, with an enthusiastic Junior Committee, we aim to promote Junior golf as actively as we can. We appreciate that many of our Juniors will end up leaving the area and therefore the club- but our philosophy, in promoting our Junior Section, is driven by a desire to use the opportunity to contribute to the game as a whole, as well as the club.
To this end, in 2017 with the full support of our members, we launched a scheme offering free Junior Membership, initially aimed at children and grandchildren of Members and subsequently extended to include a limited number of bursaries to youngsters with no family connections in the game. This initiative re-energised our Junior section. We now have a healthy Junior Membership, the success of our Junior Open is the envy of other clubs and our Junior team goes from strength to strength in local and County competitions.
For 2019 we are introducing a small Junior Membership subscription fee but, with Membership starting at just £25, the benefits far outweigh the cost and benefits even include a free Social Membership card for a parent or guardian to enjoy the hospitality of the Clubhouse whilst waiting for their youngster to finish their game or lesson!
Members can and do support the Junior Section in a number of ways. By making a small donation with their subscription monies, by joining the 200 Club (ask the office for details) or simply by volunteering to help in Junior activities such as team events or coaching.
We offer a year-round programme of activities including coaching, competitions and matches against other clubs.
Callum Bartlett, our Assistant Professional and Junior Organiser provides a wide range of activities for all abilities.
Junior members, with qualifying handicaps, may play in all Club competitions.
Bridge
All Social or Playing Members are welcome to participate in the Bridge Section
Monday afternoons from October to mid-April
Bridge sessions are held in the upstairs room. Arrive by 1.00pm for a 1.15pm start.
We play duplicate or teams depending on numbers on a roll-up-to-play arrangement, so players of all standards are welcome to come with or without partners.
Bridge during the summer
During the summer months we hold monthly supper and bridge sessions on Wednesday evenings with play starting at 5.30pm, a break for supper at 7.00pm and finishing by 10.00pm.
