"Sheringham is one of the best kept secrets in golf"
Henry Cotton
Consistently ranked as one of the Top 100 courses in England, Sheringham Golf Club is widely recognised as one of the UK's finest clifftop courses.
Set in 'The Norfolk Coast National Landscape', the course is uniquely framed by spectacular views of the North Sea on one side, and the picturesque North Norfolk Steam Railway on it's inland boundary.

"If you are fortunate enough to play there, take a breath and look around you, as the views are amazing"

"What Train...?"
The club has a proud history of hosting major National Ladies events, and in 2027 will host the
English Senior Women’s Stroke Play Championship.
We first hosted the English Women’s Championship in 1920, an event famous for the eventual winner, Joyce Wethered, who, after winning on the 17th hole and asked how the passing steam train 'which puffed and snorted loudly' had not put her off her winning putt, simply replied 'What Train?'
