Head Professional
Mike Jubb has the distinction of being only the fifth head professional in the Club’s 125-year history, and has been Sheringham Golf Club’s head professional since October 1996. A Class AA (T), PGA Professional, he turned professional at the age 22 and qualified in April 1986.
A former county coach, he has assisted with England Regional squad training and is available to help players of all standards – both Members and visitors. With our indoor facilities, Skytrak technology, Par 3 practice holes, driving range, short game areas, practice bunkers and greens, he can work across your whole game with ease.
Mike is past captain of the PGA Norfolk, and has been chairman for the past 9 years. As a player he has won the Norfolk Open, Norfolk Alliance Championship (seven times) and numerous professional Pro-Ams at regional and county level. He has held various course records and has lowest professional scores of: in the UK, Royal Cromer – a six-under par 66; and in Europe – a seven-under par 65 at Quinta Do Lago in Portugal.
Professional

Ryan Pudney joined our Pro Shop team in March 2022 and is now available for lessons either outside on the new practice tee or indoors using his Trackman swing analysis technology.
Ryan started playing golf at Diss at the age of 7, having been introduced to the game by his grandad.
He represented Suffolk at junior and adult level before going to university to gain a Sports Management degree.
Following university he gained his PGA qualification as assistant at Royal Cromer, before moving to Mundesley Golf Club.
He has spent 10 years at Mundesley with a brief spell at Hunstanton Golf Club sandwiched in between.
Professional

Amber Ratcliffe started her professional career at the age of 18 years old and is now only 25. Having 2 years on the Ladies European Access Tour and one year on the Ladies European Tour.
This was after a very successful amateur career playing at the highest level.
Some of the highlights in Amber’s career include playing for Europe in the Junior Solheim Cup, Playing for Team GB in the Youth Olympics, Playing for Great Britain and Ireland in the Vagliano Trophy and playing for England in the Ladies and Girls Home Internationals. During Amber’s amateur career she also went on to win the East Region ladies and East Region girls championships, English under 16’s school’s championship and Norfolk Ladies County and Girls Championships. Amber then went on to turn professional off the Handicap of +3
Amber’s playing career came to a halt after her daughter was born in 2018 and has been solely focused on her for the last few years, but she is now extremely excited to continue her golf career as a coach.
Amber is thrilled to be a part of Sheringham Golf Club, and is passionate about coaching and working with golfers using her knowledge and experience to help improve their game. Amber plans to start her PGA programme next year.
Course Marshall
The pleasure of any Golf Day can always impacted by speed of play. We want everyone on the course to enjoy their rounds, and that means we all need to maintain a steady pace as we move from hole to hole. To assist this process around Sheringham Golf Club we have an excellent Course Marshall, Peter Gilchrist. Peter is regularly on duty and understands the pressures and problems that can occur in any round.
He is here to help visiting Societies - from welcoming individual visitors, to officiating Starting duties, to managing the pace of play - even helping to look for lost golf balls! Peter is here to make your day's play at Sheringham Golf Club as special as possible.
