These local rules are reproduced on the back of the Scorecard.
1. OUT OF BOUNDS Rule 27-1
a) Beyond the fence or White markers on holes 2, 3, 5, 6 & 7 and any other boundary fence including holes 15, 16, 17 & 18. b) The lane leading from the Weybourne Road to the Clubhouse. c) The Car Park and Practice Ground. d) Beyond the White line and White Posts around the First Tee complex, Putting Green, Flag Pole, Clubhouse and Greenkeeping Sheds.
2. MOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS Rule 24-1
Fairway marker posts and any other moveable obstruction.
3. IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS Rule 24-2
a) All artificial paths, shelters, huts, buildings, steps, rubber matting paths and distance marker discs. b) Fixed sprinkler heads and hydrant boxes. c) Fixed tee markers.
4. STAKED TREES, BUSHES, AND PLANTATIONS Rule 24-2b (1)
a) If a staked tree, staked shrub or staked gorse plant interferes with a player’s stance or the area of his intended swing, the ball MUST be lifted and dropped without penalty under Rule 20. b) If a ball lies within a plantation area marked by a Blue Line and / or sign, the ball MUST be lifted and dropped without penalty under Rules 25 & 20.
5. STONES IN BUNKERS
Stones in bunkers are movable obstructions - Rule 24-1 applies.
6. GROUND UNDER REPAIR
GUR is marked with a blue line. A ball lying within MUST be lifted and relief taken under Rule 25-1.
7. DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES
For all play at this course a player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance only. If during a stipulated round a player uses a distance –measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might effect his play (eg; gradient, wind, temperature etc) the player is in breach of Rule:13-3 for which the penalty is disqualification, regardless of whether any such additional function is actually used.
